Montage of Heck

The Kurt Cobain documentary will come out soon and I look forward to stepping back after time has passed to see this. His daughter was at the helm of production and I am so eager to see the results of the story she approved. It recently premiered at Sundance. His daughter Frances is 22. Maybe she will be into making more documentaries. She can always chat with Dave Grohl about her ideas. Can we all imagine for a moment what that conversation of ideas would be like? He seems to be full of fire about  music history and that would be a cool collaboration, right?

A Memory I love to Remember

Elaine Paige plays Grizabella in this clip of "Memory" from the musical Cats. I watch this from time to time and am moved by not only her performance, but the thought of how blessed the cast was to listen to her rendition every night. I read a bit about her and was surprised to find she replaced Judi Dench late in the rehearsal process after Judi tore her achilles tendon. She is also member of the small but mighty group as she is only five feet tall(she says this affected the roles she was offered). I also have watched Betty Buckley's performance when she played the same character and while Betty is no slouch in the acting and singing department Elaine owns this performance.
